Q. Do I need to have a BT phone line to use Macology Internet access?
If you sign up for the Macology Pay As You Go you do not need to have a BT phone line. However to use our subscription services you do require a BT phone line. (BT may prevent customers on their Light user scheme from accessing the Macology OffPeak, or Anytime services.)
Q. Can you tell me about Macology Pay As You Go and how the charges are calculated?
A. Macology Pay As You Go is our no monthly fees access package, where you just pay for your Internet calls whilst you are online. All calls will be charged at local call rate by your telephone provider.
Q. Can you tell me about Macology OffPeak and how the charges are calculated?
A. Macology OffPeak is ideal for people who want to stop worrying about the cost of their Internet phone bill. It allows you to surf the web at anytime during the evenings and weekends.
For just £16.99 a month you can get online between 6pm and 8am during the week and all weekend with no extra call charges.
Any calls to the internet made outside these times will be charged at Local Rate.
Calls made to the Macology service outside these hours during Bank Holidays, Christmas Day and other holidays that fall on a weekday will also be charged at Local Rates.
Q. Can you tell me about Macology AnyTime and how the charges are calculated?
A. Macology AnyTime is ideal for people who want to access the Internet at any time of the day or night without paying any extra call charges.
Use the Internet as much as you want at any time for just £26.99 a month.
Q. What happens if I go over my free hours?
A. If you use your Macology internet service outside the allotted time band for the OffPeak services, your time online will be charged by your local telephone provider at local call rates.
